At Fisher Educational Ltd, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our website and subscribers to our newsletters. In particular, we want you to know that Fisher Educational Ltd is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. Personal information means any information that may be used to identify you, such as, your name, title, email address, institution/school or mailing address. In general, you can browse our website without giving us any personal information.
There are additional activities on our site that require you to be registered. For example, to trial our subscription areas, to buy and use our products, to receive our newsletter and enter some of our competitions. As part of the registration process, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to process orders, to tell you about things you've asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you're happy and satisfied.
We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use our own in-house email tool and web-service to send you emails. We also use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver the occasional newsletter. MailChimp can gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
Occasionally we may ask you to take part in a survey using SurveyMonkey. Participation in surveys is voluntary, and you are under no obligation to reply to any survey you might receive from us. For subscribers on the website and customers taking trials of our products we will send automated, sporadic emails on how to get the best from the system and reminders when a subscription is or has expired.
We may from time to time operate a "Tell a friend" service. This is a referral service, designed to make it easy for customers to recommend our website or offers to a friend, and is a two-step process. First, you send us the friend's name and email address, and secondly, we contact the friend, telling them who we are, and inviting them to take advantage of a particular offer, or to visit our website. When we contact your friend, we always advise them of your name and email address (so they recognise the offer as genuine) as you made the referral. We will not use your friend's details for any other purpose.
If you're aged 13 or under, you cannot register on our site. Your parents/guardian, tutors or teachers can create accounts from you from their own subscription/trial accounts.
